Mom and I took Bailey to Jackson's Orchard this morning. What a beautiful start to our day-it was perfect out! Our main reason to go there was to get some fresh maters! If you know my family and I well, you know we love our BLT's!!! We were hoping to pick some sweet cherries from the trees too, but yesterday they had a big crowd come through and they were picked clean! I bought their last pint of cherries to take home to Keenan along with a few fried apple pies for him--his fav! So, since we didn't get to go into the orchard and pick cherries we decided to let Bailey ride around in the radio flyer wagon and take a few pictures. It was too pretty of a day to get back in the car and head back to mom's! Here are a few of the pics from the day. We will be heading back to Jackson's in July during apple & peach season and again in the fall for pumpkin season! What an awesome place!!! Bailey enjoying Nonny's pool!
I planned a trip to Beech Bend Park today with Nonny & Pawpaw. Pawpaw spent his childhood camping there with his family, so he was excited to see what it looked like 40 years later. Bailey was a bit cranky when she woke up (she hasn't been sleeping good--still TEETHING!!!!) She would pout/cry before a ride...do awesome during the ride and cry afterward because she wanted to go again!!!! LOL....
Bailey is not much for the splash parks. Not sure why. She just mainly enjoys the "swimming in a pool." I forgot to bring her floatation swim suit so I didn't want to get her in the big pool. She fussed quite a bit as we were leaving saying, "swimming pool"...etc. etc. I just really thought she'd enjoy the splash park, but not so much. Glad she got me in a bathing suit in public for that...:) She didn't cry, but I wouldn't say she had a blast either.
(I am at my mom's for a few days this week so I don't have access to all my pics-I'll post later) I haven't blogged in forever! Everyone that keeps up with our family is on facebook, so that has been my primary way of posting pics and vids and the happenings of the Hape's. A friend was giving me a hard time today on how FAR BEHIND I am on the blog, and it IS the best way for me personally to keep a journal for my scrapbooking...so yes, I need to start blogging like I use to!
Bailey is doing awesome....talking so much it is literally wearing us out! I am so thankful that she talks so clearly and has a huge vocab already...but if you know my grandma Hinman, you know how much one can talk....Bailey is JUST LIKE HER!!! Holy cow!
Her favorite things right now, besides talking, puzzles, reading & singing are...swimming, kicking a soccer ball and she does it well! Hopefully, some vids to follow soon!! Playing on her swing set, Ring Around The Rosey & I'm a little Tea Pot are some other favs. Just this past week she has developed her love for "doll babies!" She has 2 of them, one she sleeps with. Prior, she had no interest in them. Nonny & Pawpaw got her a doll baby stroller and she has pushed it around the house non stop since we have been visiting this week!!! She is starting to develop her imaginative play by herself and it is really neat to watch her. So precious!
Around 18 1/2 months old, Bailey started saying her ABC's, however, everytime I'd try to shoot a video, she'd quit saying them and charge after me to get the camera. LOL!! So, Memorial Day weekend, we had her in the pool and was able to get this awesome vid! So glad to have caught this precious memory on video!!!
