Happy Easter From The Hapes
Bailey kept the bunny ears on long enough for me to snap a quick pick...she had her eye on her Easter basket and was headed straight for it. The Easter bunny got carried away this year it seems and bought TOO much stuff to fit in the basket...:) I will add, there was NO sugar, candy or any of the sorts in her basket! Thank you Easter Bunny!!! She is STILL very much into, books, counting & puzzles & that is what she got + more stuff!!!...how did the Easter bunny know???

We had just gotten back from our trip so we were exhausted from the less than desirable weather (cold, storms, tornadoes & high wind). We are back safe and sound ....LONG STORY!!!! We are GLAD to not have to run here and there for the Easter holiday. It was very nice, peaceful & enjoyable to sit at home and enjoy family time since we hadn't seen our baby in a few days. Grandma came over too to visit & play and most importantly give Bailey her Easter goodies from the bunny that stopped by their house...;-) We had our awesome Easter lunch at Nonny's Saturday. THANK YOU, it was so nice not having to cook a big meal! SO VERY TASTY!

We weren't in town for any of the Easter egg hunts, so after her nap Sunday, we let Bailey have her own out back. It was great until the crazy dog out back started barking, then a horn started honking later. Needless to say, Bailey is easily distracted and that put the brakes on the egg hunt. SHe had fun up until that point. Next year we will pay more attention to our vacation dates so Bailey can participate in a local egg hunt.
Bailey is starting to eat more variety as of the past week. We can now add roast, broccoli, green bean casserole, carrots & squash to her list of finger foods!!!! We haven't had baby food veggies in SEVERAL days! :-D We are having to bribe her to eat it....for example, "Eat broccoli first, then you can have ham." Works every time! Now, we just need to work on fruit! She is still eating baby food fruit...baby steps I guess. We ended up bribing her last night to eat real pineapple with a couple bites of ice cream. It worked..just hoping that these initial bribes will get her the "taste" for the fruit or veggie. She has liked everything so far that she has tried....we are desperate to get her off baby food veggies & fruit so we will try anything...6 months ago, I would have told you that I would NEVER bribe my kid...Well, things change! :)

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter---I KNOW WE DID! :-D
